Mother nature The best brand is always mother nature. MSM is best consumed naturally and raw. Raw milk has the highest concentration; however, it is hard to find. As of Jan. 2013, the sale of raw milk in stores is legal in 12 states. 17 states only permit raw milk sales on farms; 4 states only allow raw milk acquisition through “cow-share” agreements; and in 17 other states all sales of raw milk are prohibited. 12 states allow the sale of raw milk in retail stores 11 states allow raw milk to be sold in any retail store: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Idaho, Maine, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Washington 1 state requires that the store be owned by the producer of the milk: Utah 17 states allow on-farm sales of raw milk 2 states allow on-farm sales of raw milk as well as delivery of raw milk directly from the farm to consumers, including sales at farmers’ markets: South Dakota and Missouri 12 states allow on-farm sales of raw milk: Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nebraska, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Vermont, and Wisconsin 3 states allow on-farm sales of raw goat milk (not cow milk): Kentucky, Mississippi, and Rhode Island 4 states only allow raw milk to be obtained through “cow-share” agreements 4 states allow people to obtain raw milk only through cow-share agreements: Colorado, Ohio, Tennessee, and Wyoming 17 states prohibit the sale of raw milk for human consumption Alabama, Alaska, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Virginia, and West Virginia The foods naturally high on MSM include (as long as the food source gets direct rain water from the sky): Cruciferous vegetables (cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, brussel sprouts, kale, watercress) Durian Hot chili/peppers Garlic Onion Hemp seeds Pumpkin seeds Bee pollen (the most complete food on the planet) Blue-green algae Spirulina Maca Powder/Crystal We have tested dozen of powders and crystals of MSM on the market. Few stand up to the crystal test. This is where you take some of the powder and add water and leave it in a glass to evaporate. Upon evaporate large beautiful crystals should grow. Most brands grew little to no crystals. We recommend Gold Standard Organic Sulfur found at http://www.h2oairwateramericas.com. Pills All of the pills we tested showed little to no benefit. The process of making a pill and then shipping and storing it with silica powder renders it nearly useless. We recommend avoiding all solid pills of MSM. This includes nearly every brand that you would find at a health food...

Health Benefits of MSM: Skin/Hair/Nails

Posted by on Sep 24, 2013 in Blog | 0 comments

Impact #12: Skin/Hair/Nails MSM (lotion applied topically) alleviates dry skin, insect bites/stings, psoriasis, rashes, and sunburn. MSM and Aloe Vera Gel Lotion The easiest recipe is to combine MSM with Pure Aloe Vera gel. Keep in mind that 3 rounded teaspoons of MSM Crystal Flakes is about 15 grams of MSM. What you will need: MSM Crystal Flakes – 15 grams for every 100 mls of Aloe Vera Gel Pure Aloe Vera Gel – 100 mls (or more if you want to make more) Process: Mix 3 rounded teaspoons of MSM for ever 100 mls of pure Aloe Vera gel in a bowl. Mix it well and let it sit for about 30 minutes so the MSM flakes dissolve into the Aloe Vera gel. Donʼt add more MSM than the amount stated as it will become saturated and go clumpy. Pour the mixture into a suitable container (an old washed out cream tub is good). Use it as frequently as you feel is necessary. Please note that a 3.5 fluid ounce tube of Aloe Vera gel is about 100 mls. Just look for pure Aloe Vera gel with no other ingredients in it at your local drug store. MSM (administered orally) may also facilitate hair and nail...

Impact #11: Musculoskeletal System Health There have been countless studies of MSM and Ostreoarthritis. One study had these results: 16 patients with osteoarthritis aged 55 to 78 were assigned to two groups. One group of ten patients received 2,250 mg of MSM per day. The other group of six patients received a placebo. All drugs and other nutritional supplements were ceased before the commencement of the study. After four weeks of treatment, 60% of MSM-receiving patients experienced improvement in their symptoms. After six weeks, 82% of patients experienced improvement.15 Our staff have all used Real Time Pain Relief which is a topical MSM cream. The results are almost immediate as MSM is so quick to penetrate the skin to the problem area. For more info on Real Time Pain Relief visit:...

Health Benefits of MSM: Metabolism

Impact #10: Metabolism MSM reduces the toxic accumulation of lactic acid following exercise. Stephen M. Roth, a professor in the department of kinesiology at the University of Maryland, explains,“Contrary to popular opinion, lactate or, as it is often called, lactic acid buildup is not responsible for the muscle soreness felt in the days following strenuous exercise. Rather, the production of lactate and other metabolites during extreme exertion results in the burning sensation often felt in active muscles, though which exact metabolites are involved remains unclear. This often painful sensation also gets us to stop overworking the body, thus forcing a recovery period in which the body clears the lactate and other metabolites.” MSM has been used for years to alleviate this pain in racing...

Health Benefits of MSM: Eyes/Vision Health

Impact #9: Eyes/Vision Health Other than oral supplement, MSM eye drops are probably the most available form of it on the market. Dr. Earl Mindell, author of several natural health books, reports the following in a section called THE EYES: “Think of your eyeball as a balloon full of water, but instead of being rubber, it is a protein membrane. Optical tissue normally allows fluids to flow through the membrane wall which acts like a filter, cleaning out harmful particles, keeping your eyes clear and your vision good as it allows nutrients to permeate. But should the membranes become tough like leather, the fluids are trapped and particles begin to accumulate. If this buildup continues, your vision will seem as if you’re looking through frosted glass, a condition known as cataracts. When eyedrops containing the proper amount of MSM are applied, the membrane becomes permeable, and this has reversed the problem. It is also important that the eye remain flexible so that the muscles can alter its contour and focus as needed. In the event that its membranes and muscles become rigid and tough, the eye will not be able to focus properly, resulting in blurred vision. The MSM in eyedrops soothes and softens the membranes, permitting fluids to pass through the optical tissues to stabilize the pressure, repair any damage, clear up red spots and bloodshot vessels, and remove floaters and other particles in the eye. In one case, a 15 percent solution of MSM in isotonic saline was a soothing treatment for the eye following accidental injury due to particulate matter in the eye. In a test with an irritated eye of a rabbit, the eye cleared when treated every hour with a 10 percent aqueous solution of MSM. Be assured, the concentration in the MSM eye drops you get will be sufficient. Follow the instructions on the label. As noted earlier, the B vitamins in general and the sulfur-related amino acids and compounds are vital to maintaining healthy eyes. Specifically, we’ve learned that glucosamine is the starting material for the eyes, that glutathione promotes good eye health and low levels accompany almost every type of eye disease. We also know that people suffering from the eye disease retinitis pigmentosa show reduced levels of taurine within the...
